The South Australian Prawn Co-operative operates from Port Lincoln in South Australia, an area that is world renowned for producing the highest quality seafood products. The Co-op is owned and operated by the majority of South Australian prawn fisherman and operates as a specialist supplier of the South Australian King Prawn

The cool deep waters, pristine environment and sustainably managed fisheries have provided SA Prawn Co-op the opportunity to market the best wild caught prawns in the world.

The predominant prawn supplied to the Co-op, Spencer Gulf prawn fishery is accredited under the internationally recognised Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). The Council recognises the environmentally friendly, sustainable nature of this fishery.

The Co-op is committed to quality along the entire cold chain with the factory and vessels operating their extensive processing operations under strict quality controls to comply with AQIS (Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service) standards and their HACCP accreditation.

As well as exporting our products we are also a major domestic wholesaler of prawns and apply the same quality control principles.
