The Southern Rock Lobster (Jasus edwardsii) is harvested from the cool, clean coastal waters of South Australia in a strictly controlled fishery management system. The pristine living environment of the lobster and the attention to post harvest handling techniques have resulted in a succulent, sweet tasting lobster that is world renowned.
The close proximity of the local fishing areas to Australian Bight Seafood’s processing operations and live holding tanks in Port Lincoln means rapid and efficient handling of the lobster resulting in a high quality end product.
There are several product forms available for our lobster during the season that operates from November to May each year.
Live, whole frozen cooked and uncooked, and lobster tails are exported worldwide and are also available in Australia. Fresh whole cooked lobster and lobster spiders are available locally. |
